Many hotels,
so few
crowds.
Puerto
Vallarta's
hotel zone
beaches are
surprisingly
the least
crowded and
cleanest in
all of
Puerto
Vallarta.
This area
begins at
the north
end of the
malecon
(boardwalk)
and includes
Playas
Camarones
(Shrimp
Beach), Las
Glorias, Los
Tules, and
de Oro,
equaling
more than 3
miles of
pure beach.
At only a
few points,
are there
rock points
where tide
pools can be
found at
certain
hours.
Be careful
climbing on
the rocks
however,
they can be
quite
slippery.
The sand is
soft, not
course, and
very light
in color.
The waves
are very
gentle and
the water is
clear with
about 10 to
20 feet of
visibility.
Shells can
be gathered
early in the
morning, and
sea life is
occasionally
washed up on
shore
including
oysters.
The waves
along these
beaches are
very small
and gentle,
so surfing
and body
boarding are
not
suggested
for this
area.
Fishing is
not uncommon
in this
area,
although it
is not a
favored
location by
the locals
because of
the
neighboring
hotels and
frequent
swimmers.
If you wish
to jog on
the beach,
this 3 mile
stretch is
the best!
It's rarely
crowded and
has long
uninterrupted
stretch
without
obstructing
debris.
