Vallarta's Cultural Center
is
located at the inland tip of the
Island Cuale, between Old Town
Puerto Vallarta and Centro Puerto
Vallarta. Surrounded by lush
tropical gardens and a few select
restaurants overlooking the river,
the cultural center is the meeting
place for local organizations
including the local writers group.
If you are looking for a quiet, even
romantic, place to take a stroll,
take the stairs down from the bridge
and turn inland. That is, if
you can resist the urge from turning
right, as you are drawn to the GIANT
iguanas in the trees over the bridge
and the many shopping stands that
line the pathway toward the ocean.
Turning left, and heading inland,
you will see a restaurant on your
right- (famous for its live jazz and
excellent food) followed by tropical
foliage surrounding the paths.
The gardens themselves are
beautiful, with plenty of park
benches to sit and enjoy your
surroundings. Walking to the
end of the paths you will find the
cultural centers, and walking behind
the buildings, you will find the
secluded rock beaches of the rio
cuale river.
